Religious Discrimination Mild Compared To 20th Century Murders At The Hands Of Non-Religious Organizations

Diann Rice of the Civil Rights Commission:

“I would also like to reiterate what we said in…the last meeting [concerning Jack Phillips]. Freedom of religion and religion has been used to justify all kinds of discrimination throughout history, whether it be slavery, whether it be the Holocaust… I mean, we can list hundreds of situations where freedom of religion has been used to justify discrimination. And to me it is one of the most despicable pieces of rhetoric that people can use – to use their religion to hurt others.”

Er.

No.

Stop.

Just stop.

Human suffering and misery, since you went there with the 'throughout history' bit, was greater at the hands of non-religious atheistic entities (Hello Soviets, Nazis Maoists, Pol Pot! Each of whom having accomplished in mere years mighty murders of staggering magnitude than the Church could ever do).

More over, the list of religion discriminating against people pales in comparison to the destruction lives caused by tax collectors, Monarchs, Priests, bureaucrats and other people refusing to give up control.

THAT'S our history, honey.

I think what you meant to say is 'throughout the history I want to see'.

You don't know what you're talking about.

Literally.

Stop, m'kay?
